Tatkaar Kathak Institute is a Classical Dance Institution rooted in the timeless Guru-Shishya Parampara, dedicated to teaching pure Kathak with unwavering authenticity. With over 18 years of experience nurturing dancers of all ages, we’ve cultivated a vibrant community across 10 locations, 5 in Ahmedabad, 3 in Melbourne, as well as through our thriving online program, which reaches international students from around the globe.

Founded by Smt. Shikha Chhangani in India, Tatkaar made its way to Melbourne in 2017. We now proudly train over 200 students in Kathak, fostering technical excellence and cultural pride. Our annual cultural showcases in India and Australia celebrate the rich heritage of Indian classical arts.

Beyond teaching, our vision is to preserve and promote India’s artistic legacy-deepening the global understanding of what it means to be our culture's representatives, as story tellers in today’s diverse world.
